Join us on the part of the Ice Age Trail where we'll talk about some unique and special plants in the area. Delve into the history of names and even try your hand at coming up with your own plant names! The trail is on a dirt path that goes through various level changes and rugged terrain. This 1.5-mile looped trail goes through woods and roads. This hike may take about 1 hour with time for resting and talking. Please wear appropriate footwear.

Vault toilets are available near the shower building, and water stations are available throughout the campgrounds.

Meet at the Nature Center, where the naturalist will introduce the hike. There is parking available by the Nature Center or Campground Shelter. A vehicle admission pass is required for entry and can be purchased online or at the Visitor Center upon arrival. This event is recommended for all abilities and ages. Please leave pets at home. This event will be cancelled in cases of rain or severe weather.

Consider bringing insect repellent, a water bottle, snacks, a hat and sunscreen.
