Shoreline, Ships And Shipwrecks Hike

Join us on the part of the Ice Age Trail where we'll walk along the shoreline talking about various shipwrecks in the area, and how door county got its name. The trail is on a dirt path that goes through various level changes and rugged terrain. This 2-mile looped trail goes through woods and roads. This hike may take about 1.5 hours with time for resting and talking. Please wear appropriate footwear.

Vault toilets are available near the observation tower and water stations available throughout the campgrounds.

Plan: Meet at the Campground Shelter where the Naturalist will introduce the hike. There is parking available by the nearby or at the Park Store. A Vehicle Admission Pass is required for entry and can be purchased online or at the Visitors Center upon arrival. This event is recommended for all abilities and ages, please leave pets at home. This event will be cancelled in cases of rain or severe weather.

Consider Bringing: Insect repellent, water bottle, snacks, hat and sunscreen.
