Monarch Butterfly Tagging

Join us for a two-part program about the fascinating lives of monarch butterflies.
11 a.m. —Join us to learn the fascinating story of monarch butterflies and how tagging uncovered their astounding migration. This program will last 30-45 minutes and is most appropriate for ages 12 and up. Located at the Forest Headquarters (S91W39091 Hwy. 59, Eagle).
1 p.m.—Meet at the Brady’s Rocks Ice Age Trail trailhead on Hwy. 67. After a brief introduction, we’ll search for monarchs to catch, tag and release for their long journey to Mexico. Children are welcome and encouraged to attend this part of the program. Bring an insect net if you have one. This lot is located on the west side of Hwy. 67, north of Wilton Rd, just north of Eagle.
You are welcome to attend one or both programs. There will be about an hour between the two portions of this program. You are welcome to bring lunch and picnic at the Forest Headquarters (inside or outside) or stop in Eagle for something to eat.
