Learn to Shoot Crossbow

-

Description

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to shoot a crossbow as an introduction to hunting or just to have fun, now is your chance!

Join Pheasants Forever and the Wisconsin DNR for an evening of fun and new skills focused on crossbow basics: safety, effective range, scope use, maintenance and hunting. We will then shoot targets at various distances. As a bonus, you will be learning in the company of other adults with beautiful Devil's Lake State Park as a backdrop.

All equipment will be provided. Hunter Safety is NOT required to take this course, though it’s a great first step in your hunting journey. A Wisconsin state park vehicle admission pass is required. Dress for the weather as we will be outside.

Audience: Individuals age 18 and over. Teenagers in the company of an adult may be considered at instructor's discretion.

Cost: $25 (cash or check made payable to "Wisconsin Pheasants Forever") payable at the beginning of class

Registration Required: To register, go to Go Wild and log in or create an account if you don’t already have one. Click on the Manage Safety Education tab, click “Search for Class” and select "Learn to Hunt” as Course Type and “Sauk” as County in the drop-down tabs. Register with your Customer ID number.

Note: If the class does not appear, it is likely full. Please contact John Motoviloff for assistance registering, or to be added to the waitlist.

Interested participants with limited mobility are asked to contact the event organizer about accessibility options in advance of the event.

The class will meet near the office and maintenance buildings on the west side of the park at S6409 South Shore Road. From the intersection of Ski Hi Road and South Shore Road, go approximately 1/4 mile north. Look for the entrance road and buildings and park in the lot.
