Nature Journaling Hike

-

Description

Meet us at the nature center, where we’ll create journals together and go over the basics of nature journaling. We’ll follow with a short hike (0.5 miles) on the Ancient Shorelines Nature Trail to utilize those skills and do some journaling. The nature trail is an ADA-accessible trail that is a wide dirt path and relatively flat. Basic materials will be provided.

Vault toilets are available near the observation tower, and water stations are available throughout the campgrounds.

Meet at the Old Ski Hill, where the naturalist will guide participants through how to nature journal and then proceed on a short hike. Parking is available by the nature center or within a 5-minute walk. A vehicle admission pass is required for entry and can be purchased online or at the Visitors Center upon arrival. This event is recommended for all abilities and ages. Please leave pets at home. This event will be canceled with rain or severe weather.

Consider bringing insect repellent, a water bottle, snacks, a hat and sunscreen.
