Program Description
Sporting clays is a fun and hunting-applicable shooting sport intended to replicate shots you'll encounter in the pheasant field, grouse woods, duck marsh and rabbit brambles.
The Waunakee Gun Club offers an 8-10 station walk-through sporting clays course open to the public during spring, summer and fall. Join a group of women (beginning - intermediate level target shooters) to walk through the course and have fun shooting!
Expect to spend 1.5 - 2 hours at the gun club and walk a 1/2 mile.
Important Disclaimers
• We will provide a handout with tips and a shooting form self-review checklist, but this event is not an instructional clinic beyond friendly peer-to-peer observation, suggestions and encouragement.
• Score sheets will be available if you'd like to keep track of your shots, but this event is not competitive.
• For those just starting out, looking to move from stationary targets to moving targets or looking for one-on-one feedback, we strongly encourage you to attend a Women's Wingshooting Night Instructional Clinic or schedule a private lesson.
• This event will not be a good fit for those who have never shot a shotgun or for those who do not feel comfortable shooting basic moving targets.
