The Big Canoe Adventure

-

Description

Join Summer Outdoor Adventure Club, Inc. founder and experienced naturalist Gary Williams in his 33-foot canoe to explore Mirror Lake from the water. Kids will learn how to paddle together and explore the lake to spot ducks, geese and turtles sunning on logs. They will also get a close look at where cliff swallows nest in our sandstone bluffs.

This program is best suited for children under 10 years old, but all ages are welcome. The canoe usually fits about 10 adults and 3-6 kids; please call the Mirror Lake office ahead of time at 608-254-2333 to reserve a seat.

Meet at the boat launch at 9 a.m. Life jackets and paddles will be provided. Consider bringing sunglasses, hats or sunscreen, depending on the weather. This program is free, but an admission vehicle sticker is required to be in the park.
