Habitat Helpers - Invasive Species Removal

Description

Help us maintain and keep improving on the native biodiversity of our Naturalist’s Backyard and Rain Garden areas by removing invasives! You’ll learn about what invasive(s) we’re targeting each session, as they change throughout the season. This opportunity occurs every other Thursday June through October.

Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, sunscreen/insect repellant and dress for the weather. If you have a pair of work gloves to use, great! If not, we’ll have some to borrow for the day, as well as knee pads to help save our joints, shovels, and other tools necessary! Please bring your own water bottle (water bottle filling stations are available in the nature center).
