Work Play Earth Day - Tree and Shrub Planting
Description
We have about 65 trees and shrubs to get in the ground this April!
Trees and shrubs will be planted along the entry road, nature center, trails and for ongoing improvements to our Naturalist’s Backyard project at Havenwoods. Come dig some holes, fill some dirt and leave a lasting legacy that will improve wildlife habitat, educational offerings and aesthetics at the forest!
Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, long pants and sunscreen/insect repellant and dress for the weather. If you have a pair of work gloves to use, great! If not, we’ll have some to borrow for the day, as well as knee pads, shovels and other tools necessary! Please bring your own water bottle (water bottle filling stations are available in the nature center).
