Learn To Butcher Deer

-

Description

Join us at Sandhill Wildlife Area (1715 County Hwy X, Babcock, WI 54413) for an immersive and hands-on Deer Butchering Workshop hosted by the National Deer Association.

You will gain essential skills in processing and preparing venison. The instructor will break down deer processing into step-by-step instructions, share tips on hanging a deer at home and show you how to store your venison by wrapping or vacuum sealing it for the freezer. We'll also cover deer aging and biology.

Participants should come prepared to help skin, quarter, cut, trim and package a deer. All supplies will be provided, and all skill levels are encouraged to attend.
