Virtual Angler Education Instructor Training And Certification Workshop

-

Description

Join the DNR for a two-night virtual workshop to become an Angler Education Instructor. Even though this is a virtual workshop, your hands will be busy, and you'll be engaged with your fellow participants.

After the successful completion of a background check, you will be sent a Zoom link, course materials and a list of items to gather to use during and after the workshop. The background check and your active participation will certify you as an Angler Education Instructor.

Successful models for program implementation include community fishing outings, camps, school-family events, helping scouts earn merit badges, after-school fishing clubs, meet-ups for young adults and adult education.

How to Register: Go to Go Wild and log in or create an account if you don't already have one. Click on the "Manage Safety Education" tab, click "Search for Class," and select "Adult Angler Education/R3 Instructor Certification" as Course Type and "Dane" as County in the drop-down tabs. Register with your 9-digit Customer ID number.

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, Feb. 5; you must submit your background check form by this date.

Note: The background check process can take some time, so please begin it in advance. The background check form is available online.

Once you register, we will send you a brief form to learn more about you so we can tailor this workshop to your needs.
