Description

Join the National Deer Association at Sandhill Wildlife Area for an immersive and hands-on Deer Butchering Workshop hosted by the National Deer Association.

This workshop will give you essential skills in processing and preparing venison. The instructor will break down deer processing into step-by-step instructions and share tips on hanging a deer at home and storing your venison by wrapping or vacuum sealing for the freezer.

We'll also cover deer aging and biology. Participants should come prepared to help skin, quarter, cut, trim and package venison. All supplies will be provided, and all skill levels are encouraged to attend. There is a $10 course fee.
