First Day Hike

Description

Kick off the new year with a guided hike at 1:15 p.m. with Park Manager Arik Feidt. This hike will be approximately 1 mile on the Rainbow Lake Loop (a natural surface trail with some significant terrain). 

For those wishing for a self-guided option, park maps and suggestions will be available from park staff. A warming fire and s'more kits from the Friends of Interstate and Straight Lake State Parks will also be provided. 

Dress appropriately for the weather (boots, hat, gloves, warm socks, jacket, etc.). Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and under the owner's control. 

This event is free, but vehicle admission is required to enter the park. Admission stickers will be available for purchase at the parking lot.
