Deer Butchering & Processing Workshop

-

Description

Join Hunter Education Instructor Tim Kill at the Aldo Leopold Foundation to learn how to process your own deer. The deer and all processing and packaging equipment will be provided.

During the workshop, Tim will demonstrate how to break down a deer from start to finish, including hanging a deer at home, how to submit samples for CWD testing and trimming your venison for the freezer. After the demonstration, participants will gain hands-on experience by working together to process and package a second deer as a group. Participants should come prepared to help skin, quarter, cut, trim and package venison.

Please bring a cooler with ice packs to take home your packaged venison at the end of the workshop!

This workshop is free to attend.
