Willow River State Park will hold a meeting open to the public to discuss  removal of Canada Geese from Little Falls Lake to improve conditions at the swimming beach. A meeting will be held at the Park Nature Center on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 6 p.m. Comments can also be emailed to Aaron.Mason@wisconsin.gov or dropped off at the park office.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will host a PFAS Listening Session virtually from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on June 19, 2026 and registration is required.

DNR staff will provide a brief overview of the PFAS Laws and then will listen to feedback from attendees about how these programs could be implemented to best meet the needs of individuals and communities throughout Wisconsin.

Those unable to attend the listening session or who prefer to submit feedback through writing can use this form.

It’s critical for the DNR to hear your thoughts now so they can be considered during program development and implementation.

The  Snowmobile Recreation Council carries out studies and makes recommendations to the Legislature, Governor, Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Department of Transportation on all matters related to the snowmobiling program at the DNR or otherwise affecting snowmobiles and snowmobiling in Wisconsin, and makes recommendations to the DNR with regard to funding grant applications. 

The Snowmobile Recreation Council will meet to discuss topics pertaining to the biennial budget and proposed legislation, and make recommendations to the Department. The session will highlight the newly published Monitored Natural Attenuation Guidance (RR-0156) and considerations when selecting and using monitored natural attenuation (MNA) as a remedial option for cleaning up contamination.  As part of the session, presenters will highlight the responsibilities of consultants and others and highlight available tools to support informed decision-making that considers the regulatory framework, site investigation components, and lines of evidence.
