Details

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will hold a public informational meeting to review Wisconsin’s ambient air quality monitoring network. Wisconsin is required to submit an annual network plan to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that shows the siting and operation of each monitor meets the requirements of 40 CFR Part 58. The plan proposes DNR recommended changes to the ambient monitoring network based on monitor history, population distribution and modifications to federal monitoring requirements.

At the meeting, the DNR will review the changes that occurred in 2022 and will present an outline of proposed changes for 2023. Public comments on the changes will also be received at the informational meeting. A copy of the proposed revision to the Monitoring Plan and related appendices is available for public review on this webpage.
