The DNR Bear Advisory Committee consists of DNR staff along with representatives from external agencies, conservation and agricultural stakeholder groups and Ojibwe tribal representation. The committee meets to discuss issues relating to bear management in Wisconsin and assist the DNR with implementation of the Bear Management Plan.
Topics at this meeting will include a number of informational updates and development of 2027 bear season recommendations for DNR consideration. Members of the public who wish to provide comments related to agenda items and bear management may do so either in writing or verbally during the meeting. Please email Kevin.Brown@wisconsin.gov to provide your written comments or register to speak no later than Dec. 1 at noon. Written comments will be shared with the committee prior to the meeting. Comments received after the deadline will not be accepted. Agenda details to come.
