The committee will discuss the science and policy of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), including terminology and process, how math is calculated around benefits and how EU policy on SAF matters for Wisconsin forests. The committee will hear from Dr. Hannah Birgé, Senior Scientist with TNC's Corporate Engagement Team.
It is recommended that, in advance of the call, individuals listen to or read the transcript from the podcast about Sustainable Aviation Fuels on Resources Radio, featuring Zia Abdullah. Dr. Abdullah is a former engineering manager with Weyerhauser and Director at the National Renewable Energy Lab.
