The  Snowmobile Recreation Council carries out studies and makes recommendations to the Legislature, Governor, Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Department of Transportation on all matters related to the snowmobiling program at the DNR or otherwise affecting snowmobiles and snowmobiling in Wisconsin, and makes recommendations to the DNR with regard to funding grant applications. 

The Snowmobile Recreation Council will meet to discuss topics pertaining to the biennial budget and proposed legislation, and make recommendations to the Department. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will host a PFAS Listening Session virtually from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on June 19, 2026 and registration is required.

DNR staff will provide a brief overview of the PFAS Laws and then will listen to feedback from attendees about how these programs could be implemented to best meet the needs of individuals and communities throughout Wisconsin.

Those unable to attend the listening session or who prefer to submit feedback through writing can use this form.

It’s critical for the DNR to hear your thoughts now so they can be considered during program development and implementation.

This is a public hearing on an emergency rule EmR2602 (WM-16-25(E)) to amend ch. NR 10, relating to administering the elk hunting license drawing. 

The public has the opportunity to testify at the hearing. Registration will take place at the hearing by completing a Hearing Appearance Form. Pre-registration is also available and is strongly encouraged if you plan to provide spoken comments during the hearing. To pre-register, please download and complete the fillable Hearing Appearance Form and email the completed form as an attachment to Scott Karel at Scottr.Karel@wisconsin.gov

Comments on the emergency rule must be received on or before June 10, 2026.
