Deer waste disposal sites
Wisconsin prides itself on the quality of our deer herd and the availability of hunting opportunities; however, with a successful harvest comes the generation of deer carcass waste. Unfortunately, much of this waste is discarded in the fields, woods and waterways that support our herd, raising the risk of transmitting Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD).
Below is a map of landfill, dumpster and transfer station facilities and a list of waste haulers offering to accept deer carcass waste. Unfortunately, the dumpsters below will not be available for business-generated carcass waste. Businesses should contract with haulers directly to dispose of their carcass waste or haul the carcass to one of the landfills or transfer stations listed below. Please click on the facility to see the facility name and location, contact number, operating times and any conditions they may have for carcass handling. Many communities accept single carcasses in curbside pickup for residents. Contact your local solid waste provider or municipality to check carcass waste acceptance policies before disposal.

Deer haulers
Double bag it! If you dispose of your deer waste at a transfer station, in a dumpster or a curbside pickup, putting the carcass in garbage bags keeps bins cleaner, reduces the chance of nuisance scavengers and keeps odors down.
