Wisconsin's one day fishing license
Wisconsin now offers a one-day fishing license to those anglers that want to give fishing a try. Choose your water. Choose your friends. Choose your day. It's that simple.
The cost of the one-day license is:
- $8 for residents
- $10 for non-residents
Give It A Try
Buy it, try it and upgrade if you want to fish some more. After you purchase your one-day license, you can purchase an annual fishing license for a reduced rate at any time during the same license year. The reduced rate annual licenses are $12.75 for a resident and $40.75 for a nonresident.
A resident annual license is $20; a nonresident is $50; so the one-day license is a good entry-level license that lets you do everything but fish for the premium species like trout and salmon (an additional stamp is needed to fish for these species).
Pick Your Day
Pick the day you want to fish! The license is good until midnight of that day.
Easy To Buy
There are 3 convenient ways to buy the license:
- Buy online as residents or non-residents and print the license out that very day.
- Buy in-person from one of more than 1,000 DNR license vendors
