Wisconsin has thousands of miles of public trail riding opportunities throughout the state. With over 500,000 registered ATVs and UTVs in the state, Wisconsin trails are a premier destination for residents and non-residents alike.

There are places to enjoy time on your off-highway vehicles in all areas of the state. Visit the Wisconsin ATV-UTV Association website [Exit DNR] to find the most up-to-date trail riding opportunities near you. Also, be sure to check with local officials for any county or municipal ordinances that may be in effect. These ordinances are not managed by DNR, but they can determine when and where you can ride in certain jurisdictions. If you're interested in getting involved in the ATV/UTV program, consider joining a club [Exit DNR] or becoming a volunteer safety education instructor.
