Throughout the summer, high school juniors to university freshmen are invited to learn from DNR experts at Sandhill Wildlife Area and the Mead Wildlife Area.
Veteran wildlife expert Jeff Wilson shares his DNR career experiences working with black bears, loons, ospreys, eagles, swans and beavers, along with a myriad of other critters.
Pop into the nature center anytime and discover how you can become a WI nature explorer and earn a state symbol patch. We will complete one of the activities in the nature center.
Stop by the naturalist cabin (adjacent to the main parking area) to explore the nature center, visit the park naturalist and participate in the activity of the day.
Join our naturalist on a walk thru Lakeshore State Park to view the many plants that benefit pollinators and learn what you can do to help our helpful insects.
