Home And Habitat Fest Returns To Havenwoods State Forest
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) invite the public to the second annual Home and Habitat Fest, an event of free food, live music and family-friendly activities focused on housing and natural resources at Havenwoods State Forest in Milwaukee from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30. Join us to learn about the steps to becoming a homeowner, resources to navigate rental issues and small steps everyone can take to improve habitat in their community.

DNR To Host Open Houses At Various Fish Hatcheries And Spawning Facilities
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced the dates for fall open houses at two fish hatcheries and two fish spawning facilities. Over the next month, the DNR will host open houses at the Governor Tommy G. Thompson Fish Hatchery, Besadny Anadromous Fish Facility, Root River Steelhead Facility and the Wild Rose Fish Hatchery.

DNR Seeking Public Comments On Green Tier Application For RSG-Norlake
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced RSG-Norlake is an applicant to join Tier 1 of the Green Tier program. Green Tier is a voluntary program for businesses, local governments and organizations. Tier 1 is designed to encourage, recognize and reward groups committed to superior environmental performance. Applicants must have a good environmental record and agree to implement an environmental management system, which will be used to set goals, assess their progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
