    The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced that Pine Island State Wildlife Area is currently closed until further notice due to major flood levels on the Wisconsin River in the Portage area, to protect public health and safety. The property will be reopened when flood waters recede and it is safe to do so.
