The deer was a one-year-old hunter-harvested buck taken during the 2021 gun deer season. This is the first confirmed wild positive case of CWD in Oconto County.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced it will host the Chronic Wasting Disease Response Plan Review Committee meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Over the course of upcoming meetings, the committee will develop and provide input on the plan’s implementation and actions to consider as it completes this second five-year review.
