This includes helping threatened turtles, aiding promising field trials for vaccines to save bats from white-nose syndrome and restoring a globally rare bedrock glade in the Baraboo Hills. Reports of endangered bumble bee sightings in 2020 reached record numbers, matching an upward trend of people turning to nature.

Wisconsin DNR Announces Wolf Season Begins Nov. 6, 2021
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced the official wolf season will begin Nov. 6, 2021. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will delist gray wolves from the federal list of endangered species on Jan. 4, 2021, returning management authority to the lower 48 states and tribes.
