Pet rules

Pets are allowed in most DNR-owned state natural areas. They are prohibited in Parfrey's Glen and on the Roche-a-Cri Mound stairway. Pets may also be prohibited within designated use areas, as posted at the property. Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 8 feet, unless they are used for hunting purposes in areas open to hunting during the established season. Check with the individual DNR property (e.g. state park, forest, wildlife area) for more information.

Note: Pets are prohibited on sites owned by The Nature Conservancy and most other private conservation organizations.
