DNR Fisheries Areas
The original project included easements 4 rods wide on each bank of the stream for providing public access for fishing and for stream habitat development projects. Based on the undeveloped nature of the stream corridor, it's fishery and special waters classification and the scenic amenities associated with this stream, the uplands adjacent to the stream have also been purchased.
Location/Directions
Camp Creek Fishery Area is 3 miles east of Viola along State Hwy 56 intersecting with County Hwy MM. There is a parking lot on the east side of the Fishery Area off Hwy 56 and adjacent to what is the brown property to the east of the FA?.

The fishing easement areas are basically restricted to fishing and associated activities only; the fee title lands may be used as shown below:

Objective
Camp Creek Fishery Area is managed to protect and improve the quality of the trout and other aquatic organisms habitat, continue fee title purchases in addition to easement purchases along the stream to provide for public fishing and to protect the adjacent uplands for the scenic amenities associated with fishing, and to provide for hunting and other compatible upland outdoor recreational opportunities.
