Lakes and Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Mapping Tool

In order to keep DNR servers up to date, DNR will be patching the GIS servers to the latest service level on the morning of Sunday, October 2. During this update, users may see unexpected issues with DNR’s web map viewers. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and ask that you revisit the site at a later time.

If you continue experiencing issues, please feel free to contact us via email. Thank you.

The Lakes and Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Mapping Tool is an interactive web map. This tool allows users to search and map AIS and lake monitoring locations, watercraft inspection sites and grants projects across the state. Users can also view the geographical distribution of invasive plants, fish and invertebrates.

Notes on usage:

  • The Lakes and AIS Mapping Tool is currently not a mobile-friendly site. It is not recommended to use a handheld device or tablet to use the tool.
  • For best performance, a high-speed internet connection is recommended.
  • If you have multiple toolbars open at the top of your Internet browser or are using a widescreen monitor, you may need to adjust the browser's zoom setting (under the View menu) to access all tools and functions.
