    Virtual CWD Response Plan Review Committee Meeting Oct. 1

    The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced that the department will host the first Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Response Plan Committee meeting 9 - 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1. The committee will discuss the upcoming review process during which it will examine plan progress of goals and objectives.

    New Baiting And Feeding Ban In Effect For Outagamie And Calumet Counties Beginning Oct. 1

    The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) received notification from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection that a farm-raised deer on a deer farm in Outagamie County tested positive for chronic wasting disease (CWD). With this new CWD detection, Outagamie County is now considered a CWD-affected county.

    Deer Liver PFAS Surveillance Results Now Available

    The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced the results from a statewide monitoring effort evaluating per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) levels in the liver of white-tailed deer are now available. After studying the results of this sampling effort, the DNR and the Department of Health Services (DHS) are not recommending a statewide consumption advisory for PFAS in white-tailed deer liver.
