Northern Zone River Otter Trapping Season Closing Early
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced the closure of the river otter trapping season in the Northern Zone effective April 1, 2024, at midnight. Trappers are projected to reach the statewide harvest quota of 2,500 river otters within the next week.

DNR Publishes New Fishing Regulations For The 2024 – 2025 Season
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced that the 2024 – 2025 Guide To Wisconsin’s Fishing Regulations is now available online. These regulations, which include changes to walleye/sauger bag limits on inland waters and new registration rules for small tournaments, will go into effect on April 1, 2024.

New Fishing Regulations For St. Croix And Fox-Illinois Rivers Effective March 1
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) reminds anglers of the new fishing regulations that go into effect tomorrow, March 1, on the St. Croix and Fox-Illinois rivers in northwestern Wisconsin and Waukesha County, respectively. These new regulations change bag and length limits for popular gamefish and establish a new fish refuge on the St. Croix River and another on the Fox-Illinois River
