    2024 Spring Turkey Season Opens April 17

    The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) reminds turkey hunters that the 2024 spring turkey season opens on April 17. The 2024 spring turkey season will run from April 17 through May 28 and includes six, seven-day periods running Wednesday through the following Tuesday. All seven turkey management zones will be open for hunting.

    Northern Zone River Otter Trapping Season Closing Early

    The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced the closure of the river otter trapping season in the Northern Zone effective April 1, 2024, at midnight. Trappers are projected to reach the statewide harvest quota of 2,500 river otters within the next week.

    DNR Publishes New Fishing Regulations For The 2024 – 2025 Season

    The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced that the 2024 – 2025 Guide To Wisconsin’s Fishing Regulations is now available online. These regulations, which include changes to walleye/sauger bag limits on inland waters and new registration rules for small tournaments, will go into effect on April 1, 2024.
