Customer and Outreach Services electronic records request
The DNR generates hunting and fishing license lists that provide information on customers who have purchased licenses or registered a recreational vehicle.
Recreational vehicle files are produced on a semi-annual basis at the end of December and the end of June.
All lists will be screened for name removal in accordance with s.23.45(5)(a), Wis. Stats. Each list will be provided as a separate fixed length delimited text file. A document outlining the file structure will be included with each list.
Per 2015 Wisconsin Act 89 - “electronic mail address” are now added to the list of items considered a “personal identifier” in s. 23.45, Nondisclosure of certain personal information. This allows the department to withhold email addresses of our customers when providing lists in response to open records requests.
Payment must accompany each order. Please indicate which lists you wish to receive, complete the information on the form, and enclose payment with your order. Acceptable forms of payment include check or money order. Please allow 4 weeks for delivery.
Note: The DNR cannot accommodate requests for partial or specialized lists or provide technical assistance on the use of the electronic data files.
