PVC Thermoplastic Casing Study Group

The PVC (Thermoplastic Casing) Study Group is a stakeholder study group formed by DNR's Private Drinking Water section of the Drinking Water and Groundwater (DG) program. The group serves as a forum to provide information and feedback on the use of PVC casing for water wells, specifically:

  • Identify applicable research
  • Learn industry perspectives
  • Identify questions and concerns about use of PVC casing in Wisconsin
  • Assess surrounding states’ regulations
  • Identify advantages and disadvantages of PVC casing

The goal of the study group is to provide the DG Program with constructive feedback on policy and technical issues and to work collaboratively with DNR staff to find workable solutions.

Meetings are open to the public.
