NR 700 Technical Focus Group
The NR 700 Technical Focus Group for the Remediation and Redevelopment (RR) Program meets on an as-needed basis to discuss technical issues and the application of our NR 700 series of administrative rules to the realities that consultants encounter while working on the investigation and cleanup of soil and groundwater contamination. Any consultant or other interested party may attend to listen or to speak with the DNR about the cleanup and redevelopment of contaminated properties. Typical agenda topics include updates on proposed rules, changes in guidance and procedures, and questions and comments from the consultants.
The NR 700 Technical Focus Group originated in 1995, when the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board directed that the RR Program establish a forum for review of the newly established NR 700, Wis. Adm. Code, titled "Investigation and Remediation of Environmental Cleanup." The Focus Group now also serves as the RR Program's technical advisory group on changes to technical chapters of the rules. The Brownfields Study Group conducts separate meetings on policy issues in the RR Program, and those meetings are also open to any interested party.
In addition, the NR 700 Focus Group serves as the technical committee for the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Brownfields Association.
There are no meetings scheduled at this time.
