The public has the opportunity to testify at the hearing. Registration will take place at the hearing by completing a Hearing Appearance Form. Pre-registration is also available and is strongly encouraged if you plan to provide spoken comments during the hearing. This is a public meeting of the Landfill Standards and Solid Waste Fees  Advisory Committee. The agenda will be focused on the economic impacts of draft rulemaking proposals and solid waste fees.

The DNR is updating code language related to landfill design and operation and solid waste fees. The scope statement describing rulemaking topics can be found by searching for WA-11-22 on the DNR’s proposed permanent administrative rules webpage.

Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting, but because of time constraints, public participation in discussions will be limited, and priority will be given to Advisory Committee members and DNR. Additional public comments are welcome before or after the meeting and may be provided to committee members or to Kate Strom Hiorns, Recycling and Solid Waste Section Manager.
