Representatives of the Prairie Enthusiasts accept the 2009 Statewide Conservation Organization of the Year Award.

The Prairie Enthusiasts of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois were recognized as this year's recipiant of the Statewide Conservation Organization of the Year Award. This 1000 plus member club has provided protection, enhancement, and re-establishment of countless grassland projects. They work tirelessly with groups such as the Wild Turkey Federation, Trout Unlimited, and the Wisconsin DNR.

Do you know a statewide conservation organization that has been active in promoting conservation and conservation education activities and projects throughout the state? The Wisconsin Conservation Congress would like to request your assistance or the assistance of your organization in nominating a statewide conservation organization for their efforts regarding conservation and conservation education activities and projects throughout the state. The “Statewide Conservation Organization of the Year Award” is intended to recognize Wisconsin organization who has dedicate themselves to conservation and conservation education activities and projects throughout the state to include habitat development, youth fishing clinics, scholarships, access points, hunter education, etc. Through this award the Conservation Congress will recognize the many hours of service, the number of individuals who have been impacted and the numerous opportunities that have been developed by this organization.
