Mirror Lake State Park Conditions
Conditions as of Tuesday, October 6, 2009:
Roads
Fern Dell Road, the main road leading to our front entrance, is closed from U.S. Highway 12 to Ishnala Road through October 19 due to construction. You still can get to Ishnala Road and travel north into Wisconsin Dells from the park.
During this time:
- Coming to the park from from Interstate Highway 90-94, you can still can use exit 92 and go south on U.S. Highway 12. Drive past Fern Dell/Moon Road (new roundabout) and continue south for 1 mile. Turn right and go west on Shady Lane Road for 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Hastings Road and go north 1 mile to the park entrance.
- Coming from the south using Highway 12, turn left onto Shady Lane Road (about 1.2 miles north of the Baraboo Wisconsin Dells Airport). Go west on Shady Lane Road for 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Hastings Road. Travel north on Hastings Road for 1 mile to park entrance.
Trails
All hiking and mountain bike trails are open. Mountain bike trails will remain open until October 31.

Many wildflowers including black-eyed susan, blazing star and golden rods can be observed in prairies along Turtleville Trail. Some red maples in low lying areas are just beginning to turn color.
Camping
All campgrounds and facilities are open for the season. Blue Water Bay Campground will close October 15. Cliffwood Campground and the lower portion of Sandstone Campground will close October 31. Campsites 58 through 76 in Sandstone Campground will remain open for winter camping.
Reservations can be made for dates through October 31, 2009, and 2010 dates through 11 months from now online or by calling (888) 947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275.
Reservations for the accessible cabin for 2009 are full. Reservations for 2010 will be accepted beginning January 10, 2010.
Visitor Center
The Mirror Lake Visitor Center is the place to go for park information, to register for camping, and to buy a vehicle admission sticker. Annual stickers for 2009 are available now and are valid through December 31, 2009.
More Information
Boat, canoe and kayak rentals are available on weekends throughout the fall.
